If you have an account in State Bank of India (SBI Bank) then you should remember two dates well. First of all, the bank has asked all its customers to register their mobile number with their bank account before November 30, so that their Internet banking facility is going on. Apart from this, the bank has also told its customers that replace the EMV chip card with SBI Magnetic Strip low debit card before December 31.

If you use the internet and mobile banking facility, you will have to register your mobile number in the bank till the last date of this month i.e. 30th November. If your mobile number is not registered in the bank then SBI will shut down your Internet banking facility from December 1.

Apart from this, ATM less debit card with SBI Magnetic Strip will have to be replaced with the EMV chip card before December 31. Apply for new card from online banking. Applying for a new card can also be done by visiting your bank branch. There is a black bar on the back of the old debit card. This is the black bar magnetic strip, which records the complete information about your account. After swapping at the ATM, the money comes out from the account after entering the PIN number. These old card magistrates (magnetic) debit cards will be automatically closed on December 31. In return, the bank is issuing a new-age chip EMV card. Cards with magnetic strips are weak in terms of security, hence these cards are being converted into a chip card. In lieu of this, the banks are not charging any fees.
