बता दें की जब सौंदर्या 2004 के चुनाव में भारतीय जनता पार्टी के उम्मीदवारों के प्रचार हेतु करीम नगर जा रही थी तभी उसी समय उनका विमान दुर्घटना ग्रस्त हो गया था। जिसके चलते फिल्म एक्ट्रेस सौंदर्या का निधन हो गया था। जब सौंदर्या का निधन हुआ था तब उस समय वह कई फिल्मों में काम कर रही थीं, जिन्हें उनकी मौत के बाद किसी तरह रिलीज किया गया था।
