Anganwadi strike may increase malnutrition in children

It has become a serious problem for marked malnourished and highly malnourished children and children ranging from birth to five years old. If the strike goes on like this then the malnutrition disease in children can be increased.

Instructions have been issued to increase malnutrition and pregnant women in Anganwadi center every month and to check the health of children and pregnant women as well as distribution of nutrients every month to the children from birth to five years. In the area, there are more than 50 thousand children in the number of 350 Anganwadi centers. Where the deployed Anganwadi activists are examined according to the rules of children. While pregnant women are examined by the medical team. In order to provide better health facilities to them, malnutrition in children is referred to them for local hospital. But the distribution of nutrition is not being distributed to children and pregnant women due to the arrest of 15-point demand by hundreds of Anganwadis from the area for one month. There is also the possibility of malnutrition in children coming to Anganwadi center due to non-distribution of nutrition. From Gandhali block, Anganwadi organization's president, Geeta Devi, says that Anganwadi should be given at least 15 thousand rupees, while Sahayika should be given ten thousand rupees. His family can not be nurtured for four thousand rupees. They have alleged that till their demands are met, they will continue to protest.

आंगनबाड़ियों की हड़ताल से बच्चों में बढ़ सकती है कुपोषणता

पंद्रह सूत्री मांगों को लेकर एक माह से हड़ताल पर बैठी आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकत्रियां काम पर लौटने को तैयार नहीं हैं। इसका खामियाजा गर्भवती महिलाओं को भुगतना पड़ रहा है। चिह्नित कुपोषित और अति कुपोषित बच्चे व जन्म से लेकर पांच साल तक के बच्चों के लिए यह गंभीर समस्या बन गई है। यदि हड़ताल ऐसे ही चलता रहा तो बच्चों में कुपोषण की बीमारी बढ़ सकती है।

सरकार द्वारा जन्म से लेकर पांच वर्ष तक के बच्चों में बढ़ रही कुपोषणता एवं गर्भवती महिलाओं को आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र पर हर माह पोषहार वितरण करने के साथ-साथ बच्चों एवं गर्भवती महिलाओं के स्वास्थ्य की जांच कराने के निर्देश दिए गए हैं। क्षेत्र में लगभग 350 आंगनबाड़ी केंद्रों पर 50 हजार से अधिक बच्चों की संख्या है। जहां तैनात आंगनबाड़ी कार्यकत्रियों द्वारा बच्चों की नियमानुसार जांच की जाती है। जबकि गर्भवती महिलाओं की चिकित्सक टीम द्वारा जांच की जाती है। बच्चों में कुपोषणता पाए जाने पर उनको बेहतर स्वास्थ्य सुविधा देने के लिए उनको स्थानीय अस्पताल के लिए रेफर किया जाता है। परंतु एक माह से क्षेत्र की सैकड़ों आंगनबाड़ियों द्वारा 15 सूत्री मांगों को लेकर किए जा रहे धरना-प्रदर्शन के कारण बच्चों व गर्भवती महिलाओं को पोषाहार का वितरण नहीं हो पा रही है। पोषाहार वितरण न होने से आंगनबाड़ी केंद्र पर आने वाले बच्चों में कुपोषणता बढ़ने की भी संभावना है। ¨सभावली ब्लाक से आंगनबाड़ी संगठन की अध्यक्ष गीता देवी का कहना है कि आंगनबाड़ी को कम से कम 15 हजार, जबकि सहायिका को दस हजार रुपये वेतन दिया जाए। चार हजार रुपये में उनके परिवार का पालन पोषण नहीं हो पा रहा है। उनका आरोप है कि जब तक उनकी मांग पूरी नहीं होंगी तब तक वह धरना-प्रदर्शन करती रहेंगी।
