बताते चलें कि देश के नामचीन समाजसेवियों में शुमार होने वाले और पेशे से इंजीनियर यूपी की राजधानी लखनऊ निवासी संजय शर्मा ने बीते 4 सितंबर को भारत सरकार के रक्षा मंत्रालय में एक आरटीआई अर्जी देकर एक सैनिक के राशन के लिए 1 दिन की निर्धारित की गई धनराशि की सूचना मांगी थी। संजय ने जल सेना, थल सेना और वायु सेना के सोल्जर और नॉन सोल्जर की 1 दिन की भोजन

संजय के इस आरटीआई आवेदन पर भारतीय सेना के जन सूचना अधिकारी लेफ्टिनेंट कर्नल ए. डी. एस. जसरोटिया ने बीते 13 नवंबर को संजय को पत्र जारी करके बताया है कि भारतीय सेना के सैनिकों की विभिन्न ऊंचाइयों के स्थानों पर तैनाती के आधार पर होलसेल प्रोक्योरमेंट रेट पर उपलब्ध राशन आइटम की दर पर 9000 फीट से नीचे के स्थानों पर तैनाती की स्थिति में 100 रूपया 40

जसरोटिया ने एक्टिविस्ट संजय शर्मा को यह भी बताया है कि वर्तमान में सेना की तीनों शाखाओं- आर्मी, नेवी और एयरफोर्स के सभी रैंक के

अधिकारियों और कर्मचारियों, कार्मिकों तथा इंटर सर्विस आर्गेनाईजेशन के सभी कार्मिकों को 11 अगस्त 2016 को जारी भारत सरकार के आदेश के अनुसार 97 रूपया 85 पैसे प्रतिदिन की दर पर राशन मनी अलाउंस दिया जाता है l पीस एरियाज में तैनात किए गए डिफेंस फोर्स के अधिकारियों के राशन मनी अलाउंस को 7 वें वेतन आयोग के मद्देनजर रिव्यू किए जाने की बात भी जसरोटिया ने संजय को बताई है।
