बता दें कि आकाश के पिता मजदूरी कर अपने परिवार का पेट पालते हैं।

बेटे को इंजिनियर बनाने के लिए उनके पिता खाली समय में ऑटो भी चलाते हैं। एक समय था जब गरीबी की वजह से आकाश के पिता कुलदीप हाईस्कूल के बाद नहीं पढ़ सके। लेकिन उन्हें इस बात का कोई मलाल नहीं। वह अपने बेटे को इंजिनियर बनते देखना चाहते हैं

पिता की गरीबी और जीतोड़ मेहनत देखकर आकाश ने भी पिता को निराश नहीं किया और 12वीं की परीक्षा में संयुक्त रुप से टॉप कर पूरे प्रदेश में अपने पिता का नाम रोशन कर दिया। बाराबंकी के कांशीराम कॉलोनी में रहने वाले कुलदीप को जब पता चला कि उनका बेटा पूरे प्रदेश में टॉप किया है तो आंखों में खुशी के आंसू छलक पड़े

कुलदीप बेटे और परिवार को बैठाकर खुद ऑटो चलाते हुए आकाश के स्कूल पहुंच गए। आपको बता दें कि रविवार को यूपीटीयू की परीक्षा थी इसी दौरान आकाश को उनके टॉप करने की जानकारी मिली। अपनी सफलता का राज बताते हुए आकाश कहते हैं कि पढ़ाई के लिए घंटो की गिनती मायने नहीं रखती

सबसे जरुरी यह होता है कि जितना पढ़ा जाए उतना समझ में आए। आकाश आगे बताते हैं कि उनका फेवरेट सब्जेक्ट मैथ्स है जबकि फिजिक्स उन्हें थोड़ा टफ लगता है। बावजूद इसके आकाश को फिजिक्स, केमिस्ट्री और मैथ्स में 97 मार्क्स मिले हैं।
