गीत-संगीत हमेशा से नफरत कम करने, तनाव रोकने और अपने आराध्य को याद करने का माध्यम रहा है. संगीत को प्रेम जताने का एक मजबूत जरिया भी माना जाता रहा है. मानव सभ्यता के हर दौर में गीत-संगीत मौजूद रहा है और उसका समाज में हमेशा से सकारात्मक रोल रहा है. साधु, संन्यासी से लेकर पीर-फकीर तक गीत-संगीत के माध्यम से अपने आराध्य को याद करते रहे हैं.

प्रेमी अपनी प्रेमिका को और भक्त अपने भगवान को याद करने के लिए हमेशा से गीतों का सहारा लेते रहे हैं. आज भी लेते हैं लेकिन तब क्या कहेंगे जब कुछ गीतों के बोल समाज में जहर घोलने लगे, और इस वजह से समाज के दो समुदायों में मारपीट होने लगे. आगजनी की नौबत आ जाए. लोग एक दूसरे से नफरत करने लगें. पुलिस को कई दिनों तक कर्फ्यू लगाना पड़ जाए और इंटरनेट सर्विस तक बंद कर देना पड़े.

हम बात कर रहे हैं, रामनवमी के मौके पर बंगाल और बिहार के कई इलाकों में हुए हिंसक झड़पों के बारे में. इस मौके पर बिहार के भागलपुर, औरंगाबाद, समस्तीपुर और मुंगेर में दो समुदायों के बीच हिंसक झड़प, आगजनी और पत्थरबाजी की घटनाएं हुईं. दंगे जैसा माहौल बन गया और इनसब के पीछे शोभायात्राओं में शामिल किए गए डीजे और उसमें बजाए जा रहे कुछ गानों को कारण बताया जा रहा है.
