मैच में कमेंट्री कर रहे सहवाग ने हार्दिक को नया नाम दे दिया। हार्दिक को उन्होंने प्यार से कूंग फू पांड्या (कूंग फू पांडा) के नाम से बुलाया। दरअसल कुंग फू पांडा 2008 में बनी एक अमेरिकी एनिमेशन फिल्म है। इसमें जो पांडा है उसने इस फिल्म में कमाल का मार्शल आर्ट दिखाया है। अपनी इस कला के जरिए ये पांडा अपने दुश्मनों पर जीत हासिल कर लेता है। सहवाग ने भी हार्दिक को ये नाम भी शायद इसलिए दिया क्योंकि वो अपने फन में तो माहिर हैं ही और मौका पड़ने पर उन्होंने शानदार तरीके से अपने हुनर का इस्तेमाल करते हुए विरोधी खेमें में खलबली मचा दी।
