According to Padmavat, if Allauddin Khilji heard about the beauty of Padmavati, he was excited to see. The army of Khilji surrounded the Chittoor fort and sent a message to Raval Ratan Singh to meet Padmavati. Together with the conviction that by meeting Padmavati, she will leave Chittora and leave it and will not attack.



When the king reached Khilji's message to the queen, the queen became angry. She was not ready to meet Khilji. But there was a danger of war in front of the state. So a solution was removed. According to it, the vendee will have to come to the castle without arms. Not only this, this condition was also put in place that he will see only the shadow of Padmini in the mirror, that shadows falling in the pond too.



According to the poetry 'Padmavat', Khilji came in the fort and he went away after seeing the queen's shadow. But Khanshi was stunned on the beauty of Padmavati. He wanted to get Padmavati in some way, so he attacked Chittor.



King Raval Ratna Singh and many of his soldiers were killed in this fight. Allauddin Khilji entered the fort. But before she could reach Padmavati, Padmini had done jewelery with thousands of women.

 फिल्म ‘पद्मावती’ का ट्रेलर रिलीज हो गया है। अब तक इस ट्रेलर को एक करोड़ 36 लाख लोग देख चुके हैं। इस फिल्म में दीपिका पादुकोड़ ने चित्तौड़गढ़ की महारानी पद्मावती का किरदार निभाया है। जिसका असल नाम रानी मदन कंवर पद्मिनी था और वह चित्तौड़गढ़ के 42वें शासक रावल रतन सिंह की 15 रानियों में से एक थीं।



पद्मावती कौन थी? आखिर इतिहास से उनकी क्या जगह है? हम इन तमाम सवालों के जवाब तलाशने की कोशिश करेंगे। मलिक मोहम्मद जायसी ने ‘पद्मावत’ नाम के काव्य में 1303 ईस्वी में चित्तौड़गढ़ पर हुए हमले और ऐतिहासिक जीत का ब्यौरा दर्ज है। इसमें उन्होंने रानी पद्मिनी का नाम पदमावती रखा। इसमें बताया गया है कि रानी पद्मावती बहुत सुंदर थीं।



पद्मवत के मुताबिक अल्लाउद्दीन खिलजी ने पद्मावती की सुंदरता के बारे में सुना तो देखने के लिए उतावला हो उठा। खिलजी की सेना ने चित्तौड़ किले को घेर लिया और रावल रतन सिंह के पास पद्मावती से मिलने का संदेश भिजवाया। साथ ही भरोसा दिया कि पद्मावती से मिलकर वह चितौड़ छोड़कर चल देगा और हमला नहीं करेगा।



राजा ने जब खिलजी का संदेश रानी तक पहुंचाया तो रानी नाराज हो गई। वो खिलजी के मिलने के लिए कतई तैयार नहीं थी। लेकिन राज्य के सामने युद्ध का खतरा था। इसलिए एक उपाय निकाला गया। इसके मुताबिक खिलाजी को बगैर हथियारों के महल में आना होगा। इतना ही नहीं, इसके साथ ये भी शर्त रखी गई कि वो आईने में पद्मिनी की सिर्फ परछाई देखेगा, वो भी तालाब में पड़ने वाली परछाई।



काव्य ‘पद्मावत’ के मुताबिक खिलजी किले में आया औऱ उसने रानी की परछाई देखकर चला गया। लेकिन खिलाजी पद्मावती की सुंदरता पर फिदा हो गया था। वो किसी भी तरह से पद्मावती को पाना चाहता था, इसलिए उसने चित्तौड़ पर हमला कर दिया।



इस लड़ाई में राजा रावल रत्न सिंह और उनके कई सैनिक मारे गए। अल्लाउद्दीन खिलजी किले में घुस गया। लेकिन इससे पहले कि वो पद्मावती तक पहुंच पाता, पद्मिनी ने हजारों महिलाओं के साथ जौहर कर लिया था।
