Pradyumna massacre: Pinto family gets interim bail, arrest on arrest

The Punjab and Haryana High Court gave interim bail to Ryan International Group CEO Ryan Pinto and his parents, founder president Augustine Pinto and Managing Director Grace Pinto on Saturday in connection with the killing of seven-year-old student Pradumman Thakur at Gurumagram Raiyan International School. The court also asked the CBI, probing the case, to submit a report on December 5 in this case.

Arshdeep Singh Cheema, who was present along with Sandip Kapoor presenting the Pinto family, said that the High Court Justice Surinder Gupta granted bail to him (three trustees) till December 5. Chima said that the court told him that whenever the CBI called him, he would be involved in the investigation. He said, the High Court also asked the CBI to submit a report on December 5 in this case. The High Court had stayed the arrest of the three trustees of the Ryan Group on September 28. They wanted an advance bail in this case. Ryan Pinto, and his parents had approached the High Court on September 16 and demanded anticipatory bail in this case.

Pradumman Thakur, a student of class two, was found dead on September 8 at the school's toilet. In this case, the school bus conductor Ashok Kumar was arrested. The rage spread all over the country in the killing of the child and charges against school management were also started. Earlier, the Haryana government had recommended a CBI probe in this case and the investigating agency took the case on September 22.

During the hearing, the CBI said that investigating the prospectus and documents of the Ryan Group revealed that Ryan Pinto was the CEO of the school. In such a situation, if they are granted bail, then they can play a crucial role in destroying the evidence, hence his arrest and interrogation are necessary. The CBI said in its reply that in the preliminary investigation it has come to light that the death of the child is due to management negligence. If they are granted bail then they can affect the investigation of the case.

Meanwhile, Ryan Group's Northern Regional Chief Francis Thomas and H.R. Head J. Thomas were arrested on the regular bail plea of ​​the case. After listening to all the parties, the court granted regular bail to both of them. Both of them have been arrested by the police since few days. Victim's advocate S. Techriwal told that during the hearing, the High Court has ordered the accused to cooperate in the investigation. Thomas said in his petition that due to the pressures of the media and the hype of politicians, an environment has been created such that he is directly responsible for the murder. Due to this pressure, the Gurujram police arrested them on September 11. The police are torturing them badly. Demanding regular bail, Thomas said that he is ready to give every support to the investigation team. The CBI opposed the bail in the High Court. After hearing all the parties, the High Court reserved the decision on the petition on Friday. They have been granted bail on Saturday.

पंजाब और हरियाणा उच्च न्यायालय ने गुरुग्राम के रेयान इंटरनेशनल स्कूल में सात वर्षीय छात्र प्रद्युम्न ठाकुर की हत्या के मामले में रेयान इंटरनेशनल समूह के सीईओ रेयान पिंटो और उनके अभिभावकों, संस्थापक अध्यक्ष अगस्टाइन पिंटो एवं प्रबंध निदेशक ग्रेस पिंटो को शनिवार को अंतरिम जमानत दे दी. अदालत ने मामले की जांच कर रही सीबीआइ को पांच दिसंबर को इस मामले में एक रिपोर्ट सौंपने के लिए भी कहा.

पिंटो परिवार की ओर से पेश संदीप कपूर के साथ मौजूद अर्शदीप सिंह चीमा ने कहा, उच्च न्यायालय के न्यायमूर्ति सुरिंदर गुप्ता ने शनिवार को उन्हें (तीन ट्रस्टियों को) पांच दिसंबर तक जमानत दे दी. चीमा ने कहा कि अदालत ने उन्हें कहा कि जब भी सीबीआइ बुलाये वे जांच में शामिल हों. उन्होंने कहा, उच्च न्यायालय ने सीबीआइ को पांच दिसंबर को इस मामले में एक रिपोर्ट सौंपने के लिए भी कहा. उच्च न्यायालय ने 28 सितंबर को रेयान समूह के तीनों ट्रस्टी की गिरफ्तारी पर रोक लगा दी थी. वे इस मामले में अग्रिम जमानत चाहते थे. रेयान पिंटो, और उनके अभिभावकों ने 16 सितंबर को उच्च न्यायालय का रुख कर इस मामले में अग्रिम जमानत दिये जाने की मांग की थी.

कक्षा दो का छात्र प्रद्युम्न ठाकुर आठ सितंबर को स्कूल के शौचालय में मृत मिला था। इस मामले में स्कूल की बस के कंडक्टर अशोक कुमार को गिरफ्तार किया गया था. बच्चे की हत्या को लेकर पूरे देश में रोष फैल गया था और स्कूल प्रबंधन के खिलाफ आरोप भी लगे थे. इससे पूर्व हरियाणा सरकार ने इस मामले में सीबीआइ जांच की सिफारिश की थी और जांच एजेंसी ने 22 सितंबर को इस मामले को अपने हाथों में लिया था.

सुनवाई के दौरान सीबीआइ ने कहा कि रेयान ग्रुप के प्रोस्पेक्टस व दस्तावेजों की जांच की तो पता चला कि रेयान पिंटो स्कूल का सीईओ है. ऐसे में उनको जमानत दी जाती है तो वह सुबूतों को नष्ट करने में अहम रोल अदा कर सकता है, इसलिए उसकी गिरफ्तारी और पूछताछ जरूरी है. सीबीआइ ने अपने जवाब में कहा कि प्रारंभिक जांच में यह बात सामने आयी है की बच्चे की मौत मैनेजमेंट की लापरवाही के कारण हुई है. अगर इनको जामनत दी जाती हे तो यह मामले की जांच प्रभावित कर सकते हैं.

उधर, मामले में गिरफ्तार रेयान ग्रुप के उत्तरी क्षेत्रीय प्रमुख फ्रांसिस थॉमस व एचआर प्रमुख जे थामस की नियमित जमानत याचिका पर भी सुनवाई हुई. सभी पक्षों को सुनने के बाद कोर्ट ने दोनों को नियमित जमानत दे दी. दोनों घटना के कुछ दिन बाद से ही पुलिस की गिरफ्त में हैं. पीड़ित पक्ष के वकील एस टेकरीवाल ने बताया कि सुनवाई के दौरान हाइकोर्ट ने आरोपियों को जांच में सहयोग देने का आदेश दिया है. थामस ने अपनी याचिका में कहा था कि मीडिया के दबाव और राजनेताओं की अति सक्रियता के कारण ऐसा माहौल बना दिया गया है कि जैसे हत्या के लिए सीधे वो जिम्मेदार हैं. इसी दबाव के कारण गुरुग्राम पुलिस ने 11 सितंबर को उनको गिरफ्तार कर लिया. पुलिस उन्हें बुरी तरह टार्चर कर रही है. थॉमस ने नियमित जमानत की मांग करते हुए कहा कि वो जांच दल को हर सहयोग देने के लिए तैयार हैं. हाइकोर्ट में सीबीआइ ने जमानत का विरोध किया. सभी पक्षों को सुनने के बाद शुक्रवार को हाइकोर्ट ने याचिका पर फैसला सुरक्षित रख लिया था. उन्हें शनिवार को जमानत दे दी गयी है.
