According to the Puranas, wherever the sati's limbs, their ornaments and clothing fell, the place was called Shaktipeeth. In the Hindu religion texts mention the 51 Shakti Peethas of the Goddess. But out of these 51 Shaktipeeths, there are 4 Shaktipeeths which are still being searched for today. Let's know, about these 4 Shaktipeeths of Goddess.



Ratnavali Shaktipeeth



It is believed that the goddess mother had fallen on this place. About this Shakti Peeth, devotees believe that this part of the Goddess has fallen into the surrounding areas of Chennai. But nobody knows about this place till date.



Lanka Shaktipeeth



It is believed that the special jewelery of Goddess Sati was dropped in this holy place. This Shakti Peeth has also been mentioned in the scriptures. No information has been received about this place till date.



Kalmadhwa Shaktipeeth



There is a belief about this sacred Shakti Peeth that the left hip of Goddess Sati was dropped at this place. There is no information available about the exact location of this Shaktipeeth till date. It is believed that at this place the goddess Sati is sitting with Kalmadhav and Shiva Asitananda.



Panchasagar Shaktipeeth

The fourth such pill of Mother Shakti which has not even been detected by anyone till date, is the Panchasagar Shaktipeeth. This place has the belief that the lower jaw of Sati was dropped on this Shaktipeeth and in this place, Goddess Sati is known as Varahi.
