On December 2, 1984, 30 tons of poisonous gaase, Methyl Isonai, took out the Union Carbide factory in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, killing thousands of people.



According to official statistics, the leakage in Union Carbide plant 'C' had killed 3 thousand people.



With the effect of the tragedy, people are still affected-



The affected people of this poisonous gas are still giving birth to mentally and physically nebulous people. Human rights groups believe that thousands of tons of dangerous waste have been buried underground. The government has also admitted that this area is still contaminated.



After this scandal, the relief department created by the government comes in 10 to 12 cases every month, which has become cancerous. It is demanded for financial assistance. It is believed that about five lakh people were affected by this scandal. Those who have survived are suffering from a dangerous disease like cancer.



Arjun Singh was the Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh during the Bhopal gas tragedy in 1984. On 7th June, the court convicted eight people in the Bhopal gas tragedy case. Warren Anderson, the then chief of Union Carbide, fled India.
