Judge of a British court, who ordered the extradition of fugitive liquor businessman Vijay Mallya to India, has expressed surprise over some Indian banks lending to Mallya. Chief Justice of the Westminster Magistrate of London, Justice Emma Arbuthnot, on Monday, ordered the extradition of India's 62-year-old businessman Vijay Mallya, that the first case against him is the case of fraud and money laundering, which he should answer. Vijay Mallya is wanted in India allegedly fraud and money laundering in the Rs 9,000 crore rupee case.

Justice Arbuthnot, while giving a decision, strongly criticized Indian banks, they expressed surprise over some fact that some public sector banks did not report the proper credit report of the liquor business before giving this loan.

The judge said that in this case, some public sector banks neither sought proper guarantees nor demanded credit of Mallya during the time of granting certain loans, they would be entitled to repayment of the reports submitted by Kingfisher Airlines for loans from time to time. Did not even check.

The judge told these things to be a frequent failure of the banks. He said that it is not clear whether the fact that he is presently present at that time, whether such work was done under any inherent financial purpose or conspiracy.
