Our country's former and popular Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee Ji died on 16th August. He was running ill for a long time and was admitted to the AIIMS hospital in Delhi. The five times MP from Uttar Pradesh's capital, Lucknow, was temperamental and friendly. He used to meet everyone with great love. Today, when he is not among us, his stories begin to come on the tongue of the people unintentionally. One such incident, for three decades, his driver Pradeep Bhargava said,



According to Bhargava, Atalji did not forget to eat sugar candy before addressing every gathering. Not only this, whenever he used to address a gathering, he would meet with the people standing on the street and talk to them.





One particular thing of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee ji was that despite being a VIP, he used his franchise in line with a common man. Although this was against their security personnel, they would have ignored this and used to talk with other people in the line of happiness. What could be the big example of his humility that when he first came for his nomination, he stayed at his driver Pradeep Bhargava's house.

हमारे देश के पूर्व एवं लोकप्रिय प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेई जी का 16 अगस्त को निधन हो गया। वह लंबे समय से बीमार चल रहे थे और उन्हें दिल्ली स्थित एम्स अस्पताल में भर्ती कराया गया था। उत्तर प्रदेश की राजधानी लखनऊ से पांच बार सांसद रहे अटल जी का स्वभाव मधुर एवं मिलनसार था। वह हर किसी से बड़े प्यार से मिलते थे। आज जब वो हमारे बीच नहीं रहे तो उनके किस्से अनायास लोगों के जुबान पर आने लगते हैं। ऐसा ही एक किस्सा तीन दशक तक उनके ड्राइवर रहे प्रदीप भार्गव ने बताया,



भार्गव के अनुसार अटल जी हर सभा को संबोधित करने से पहले मिश्री खाना नहीं भूलते थे। इतना ही नहीं वह जब भी किसी सभा को संबोधित करने जाते थे तो रास्ते में खड़े लोगों से रुक-रुक कर जरूर मिलते थे और उनसे बातें करते थे।





पूर्व प्रधानमंत्री अटल बिहारी वाजपेई जी की एक खास बात यह थी कि एक VIP होने के वावजूद, वह एक आम आदमी की तरह लाइन में लगकर अपने मताधिकार का प्रयोग करते थे। हालांकि इस बात से उनके सुरक्षाकर्मियों को ऐतराज होता था, लेकिन वह इस बात को नजरअंदाज कर देते थे और लाइन में लगे अन्य लोगों के साथ सुख दुख की बातें किया करते थे। उनकी विनम्रता का इससे बड़ा उदाहरण क्या हो सकता है कि जब वह पहली बार अपना नामांकन करने आए थे तब वह अपने ड्राइवर प्रदीप भार्गव के घर ही रूके थे।
